Hi was wondering how often do they fly? And is there a chance for one today. I noticed ZZ666 done mission yesterday. Could it fly today?

Morning,

others may be better placed to answer your query as I have yet to visit Waddington but going off what shows up on the flight trackers, typically the RC-135s fly every other day but this is by no means a fixed rule! eg last week ZZ665 did back-to-back flights on the 14th and 15th. Here is a list of the past 2 weeks of flights for info:

RRR7207 ZZ665 07/02/2024
RRR7209 ZZ665 09/02/2024
RRR7212 ZZ666 12/02/2024
RRR7214 ZZ665 14/02/2024
RRR7215 ZZ665 15/02/2024
RRR7219 ZZ666 19/02/2024

Unfortunately I don't think there will be a much more accurate answer than this, bearing in mind this is the RAF's prime ISR asset combined with the current geopolitical landscape I am sure you can understand that things may be very fluid!

I have a log going back further than 2 weeks which I would be happy to share over PM if that helps, just kept it at 2 weeks because that is fairly easily accessible info from flight trackers whereas longer timeframes are not.

Long story short, I don't think it will fly today but take that with a pinch of salt!

Thank you for your reply which is very useful. I did spend the morning there yesterday with both RC’s on the ground. We did get to see a Wildcat and Hunter which was a nice surprise.
