**Updated** Reds to Waddo
Re: Reds to Waddo next week
All good stuff lads ! Having been a regular visitor to the wave I have wondered for some years just where the U.A.V. s are being allegedly controlled from on the airfield ? Perhaps from the shiny white air warfare building Then I put my M.O.D. chip in and think " its a nice easy obvious, perhaps too obvious a target "! So i think its in the old bomb store area where the practice attack buildings are, somewhere inside or underneath. I don't expect an answer from on-site. But would you put it on full view ?
I assume our two Elint raf kc135's are still based at Wado ? Not seen these for some time but Covid has stopped my wanderings since March and i'm desperate for a fast jet fix

"A Rhubarb" is a sortie of opportunity !
Re: Reds to Waddo next week
I think you’ll find there are actually 3 RC135’s in service and as for the UAV ops would they not be in standard shipping containers like they are in Creech (or were in the early days)?Rhubarb wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 8:34 pmAll good stuff lads ! Re: Reds to Waddo next week
The drones are controlled from 4 hangar. There's a video on Facebook/YouTube of the containers.
665 is in America for upgrades, 664 has been operating recently and 666 has been hangared since mid September.
Edit - it's in BBC news.

Re: **Updated** Reds to Waddo
311 was Red 8 that arrived on his own after the 1st sortie, so it will have been a different one in the first sortie.
One of them does not have a smoke pod fitted, Red 1 has been using that jet up until at least the first sortie this morning.
Cheers for the info.

Re: **Updated** Reds to Waddo
Think the Reds are making their way home.
Reds 1, 3, 6 have all departed Waddington and Landed Scampton.
Red 7 is on approach to Scampton.
Red 5 is also up.
Red 2 and 4 with Scampton Talkdown.

Re: **Updated** Reds to Waddo
Reds 1-7 all recovered to Scampton, leaving two on the deck at Waddo.
