Re: Cobra Warrior Info
So who's going to tell them that it's an exercise, not an excercise.

Re: Cobra Warrior Info
Have the Germans and Italians stated what they’re bringing; is it just Typhoon or Tornado as well?
Re: Cobra Warrior Info
Well, that doesn't bode well if that's correct.
I'd find it very unlikely the other F-15s would make the crossing without a tanker.

Re: Cobra Warrior Info
The B707 that was coming was one of the ELINT ones, not one of the tankers.
Re: Cobra Warrior Info
The tweet below from the EGXWinfoGroup twitter account clarified the early post on their blog about the possible inclusion of the ELINT B707 Israeli operate. Looks likely the B707 variation got mixed up, they indicate that tankers supports expected http://www.egxwinfogroup.co.uk/?p=3404
https://twitter.com/EGXWinfoGroup/statu ... 3382348803Ex Cobra Warrior updated, apparently I got a little excited about the B707 based support platform and identified it incorrectly! They have 9 707 based tanker/trans aircraft which I missed, it’s more likely to be one of these than their single AWAC variant! http://egxwinfogroup.co.uk/?p=3404

Re: Cobra Warrior Info
If it was just 'Typhoon Warrior' the remaining seven F-15 C/D would have to cancel too? All too often jest becomes reality!

Re: Cobra Warrior Info
Not looking good, last years cobra warrior was brilliant especially with all the close up tornado action at coningsby.
This year with it transferring to Waddington, all the restrictions in place & possible Israeli cancellation!
At the start of the year it was going to be the ultimate exercise, rather than a typhoon fest.

That is the name of the Elint system, the aircraft should have been 4X-JYS / 246.

Re: Cobra Warrior Info
Look like the same format as other Cobra Warrior exercises. Morning flying and every other day

Re: Cobra Warrior Info
I think you find that the Elint 707 has been scrapped, It was a Gulfstream that was due..
There’s 1 707 and 2 C130s due
