Luke, FYI, the Phenoms were never (or planned to be) part of the RAF 100 flypast.

The 100 rehearsal took place abeam Cranwell at 1300, the Phenoms were not part of that.

It is purely coincidental that the aircraft were practising formation flying later in the day when the incident took place.

Thanks for clearing that up Flying Fairy, my understanding was that is took place during the raf100 rehersals.

Cheers

That was my understanding too, but never mind. More interested to know what part of which aircraft collided with which part of the other aircraft?
Cheers, TM74

One aircraft reported cockpit vibrations, so possible wing/tail plane to cockpit?

ZM336 was still there a couple of days ago, it is waiting to be inspected as it has a major issue with the main wing-spar and could be scrapped according to the WAVE Facebook page.

ZM336 has activity around it at 1630 this evening. Vehicles parked close to it and the crew door was open.

thanks for updates, the RAF seem to be keeping very quite about the incident,
over 4 months have passed and a report must be due for release

My info on ZM-336 is that it might be a Cat5 (write-off)

Think this was mentioned further up the chain earlier in the year.

The local Stansted list has reported ZM336 arriving at Stansted on 7th May 2019 for work by an Embraer repair team. I assume it's gone to Inflight which is an authorised Embraer facility.
