Well the pave looks full and the traffic on the A15is slow.
plenty of fresh stubble fields on the wave side they could use.

Wind is 230@9, so should be - is there no caravan out?

Post on MSF saying that the PAVE is now full and closed to further entries.

From the RAF Waddington FB page:

RAF Waddington AvroDay

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Lancaster and Vulcan Event at RAF Waddington, traffic heading to the airbase has been very heavy and as a consequence we regret that our Park and View Enclosure is already full.

RAF Waddington apologises for any disappointment caused and assures the public that every thing has been done to allow as many people as possible to witness this historic event.

The aircraft will be flying through Lincolnshire further details can be found on the Vulcan to Sky Website today showing the opportunities for people who have been unable to park at RAF Waddington.

Blimey, all those cars parked beside the A15; it,s a clearway=verges as well. Expect little yellow envelopes on your windscreens!

A plea from the Museum Shop staff:

The museum has not been notified that the Avro flypast today will be forming up over the museum, so we are unable to provide any timing details to people that telephone in!

Thank you for your understanding in this matter!!

Merely stating a fact and trying to cope with the fast unfolding situation - the roads around Newark are also getting full; and the museum telephone is ringing 'off the hook' - not from enthusiasts but the general public due to a certain route map that's doing the rounds on social media.

My personal email has also been going crazy this morning from long-lost friends seeking that bit of inside information - that we don't actually have!!

We learnt a lot from the issues that arose when the airshow was cancelled a few years ago and we were inundated with visitors - I even fed in a range of suggestions to the airshow organisers to help cope with similar situations in the future.

To make matters worse I'm not even at the museum, but operating from Nottingham!

:S In the end Winthorpe Airfield / NAM was the general formation point as has been noted in here!

This was mobile footage of the formation passing just east of Metheringham.
Excuse the wind noise, and the odd pigeon. :-)

Having looked at the routing from Coningsby to Marham, I decided that an excellent place to view the formation would be the RSPB Nature Reserve at Frampton Marsh. Nice and quiet, easy parking and plenty of very fresh air.

And I was not to be disappointed. You could see the formation coming for a long time in the distance and for about another 5 minutes as it disappeared around the Wash. The pilot of the Vulcan was doing a magnificent job in holding back his speed, must have been pretty close to a stall judging by the continuous applications of power. For completeness 100 Sqn Hawk CJ was on the starboard wing of PA474.
