Fantastic departure by the Indian mirage, including a five ship flyby. I think we can all agree they are welcome back anytime.

Many thanks for the updates much appreciated

Hi everyone
Hope it's ok to put this here.
I would just like to express my total appreciation in the way of a massive thank you to all the members on FC that have contributed during the excersise.
From information to serials to photos etc the help as been amazing... for me personally it has allowed me to plan the best days to visit and the info and heads up as been that good it's as also allowed me to call in when I had not actually planned to and catch the action.
As a spotter this as allowed to get the serials... a perfect example was on Sunday when I was in Lincoln with my wife... checking FC I was able to see what was where and what was due.
The result... I got all the Saudi Typhoons at Coningsby... the 5th Indian Mirage which as been a bit difficult to spot.... 2 x Indian AF C17s and also the 3rd Saudi C130 that came close to Waddington on its way in to Coningsby.
Thank you very much for everything it's been a great 3 weeks thanks to all of you guys.

Regards.

Thanks to everyone who's contributed during the Exercise - my first trip to Cobra Warrior (and then the subsequent follow-up trip) would almost certainly not have happened, had it not been for the wealth of information shared here.

Roll on CW 23-2...

They are indeed a very classy outfit - they thanked Waddington 'for everything ' on Waddington tower before heading off after the five ship fly by.65thAgressor wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 1:47 pmFantastic departure by the Indian mirage, including a five ship flyby. The Mirages looked fantastic with the those bare metal tanks shining in the Waddington sun

Echo Tiger 1s sentiments exactly. A big thankyou to all who have contributed with info, gen and live eyes on the ground reports! Also a shout out to those at the WAVE for keeping us fed, watered and parked, also for enduring/distributing some top notch banter and heckling haha. Sterling effort all round!
It will soon be time to dust of the CW rumour mill and car parking fiascos re CW 23-2!
Cheers, Danny

Have single-seat Mirage 2000s visited the UK since RIAT 2011, before this exercise? Can't remember any, but not sure if I've forgotten something.
