Some rumours say the Warhawks arrive over two days at Mildenhall

It will be fun to see how they get on at Mildenhall during Cobra warrior in terms of integration with normal base operations; will they require the cables to be raised? What happens when tankers are waiting for timed take offs for AR missions? Why are they not operating from Spangdahlem?

Tuesday/Wednesday mornings have been mentioned as arrival days..spose Mildenhall can’t handle up to 18 F16s in one day

...I expect the Norwegian F-35A will appreciate working alongside their USAF partners and support. I doubt the RAF Marham F-35B team has any support to offer the F-35A.

There is a high percentage of commonality between the two types, and most of the 'B' systems and operations are additional to the 'A' ones, rather than different from them. (The air-refuelling system is the main exception I can think of, which operationally is probably quite significant in favour of your argument.) In any case, I'm sure you're correct that the USAF will be able to offer a higher degree of support, if only because of the scale of their F-35 operations compared to the RAF/RN.

Avionics and airframe may be similar, but engine/fan and importantly operational procedures totally different.

F16s should arrive Tuesday (12x) and Wednesday (6x).

F35s (6x) believed to be arriving Wednesday, with an MRTT a few hours behind.

NATO C17 as support sometime this weekend.

Certainly not a high percentage of commonality, propulsion is the obvious difference.

Does anyone know if the hedge at waddington opposite the wave has been cut I was up there for Saudi hawks it was over 6 feet tall even with tall steps is a problem to see over

It's not been cut, there's maybe 3/4 spots that are doable with a ladder, there is talk it will be cut this week but will believe it when I see it.

The cones are now out at Waddington.

- No stopping signs on entrance to Bloxholme lane (they did this in March but don't believe it was policed)

- No stoping comes from the new roundabout on the A15 all the way down to the B1178 to Harmston.

- 40mph speed limit on A15, drops to 30 for a fair way along.

- all the usual pullins on the A15 blocked off.

- No stopping cones on the B1178 between the A15 and A606

- Northern layby on the B1178 closed.

Hi vulcanone yes we do seem to forget as its been a while since that bad event kicked things of mate, plus a lot dont know how the carpark at Wadd came about, its seems that only when some thing is about to happen at Wadd and parking is needed things start to to be talked about as to how and why it is there. Hopfully things go smoothly for this Cobra Worrior, and everyone stays safe ? I did send you a PM Tim.
