US Navy must have plenty of spare T-45 Goshawks, I wouldn't have thought the airframes have had too much wear and tear.
After all, we helped the Blue Angels with Albert. :)

Probably not related to the subject but yesterday they flew an eight ship mission.

The Structures team at Brough have had a long term program to increase the T45 fatigue life (well above the original 14,400 f.hrs!!) as they are so well used and to give a later OSD. They are such a different beast that reading that clearance across and preparing new training syllabus, flight manuals etc. would be like buying a new type anyhow.

I think they've just got 8 serviceable jets at the moment - not had bigger than an 8 ship this week yet.

Hopefully they get to 9 by the end of the week with their practice at Coningsby
