Latest info on the upcoming Protector flights in November from CAA/NATS.

Typo on the zone Freq (119.6 - should read 119.5)

1 From 09-29 November 2023, a Royal Air Force operated General Atomics Protector RG Mk1 (the RPAS) will conduct Beyond
Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flights in the vicinity of Royal Air Force Waddington. BVLOS operations will be wholly contained within
the Temporary Danger Area (TDA).

2 The RPAS will be operating with a limited Detect and Avoid capability only.

3 The TDA is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence in accordance with Airspace Change Proposal ACP-2023-003.

4 The TDA will be notified for activation by NOTAM at least 24 hours in advance.
TEMPORARY DANGER AREA WILL BE NOTIFIED BY NOTAM

5 EG D398. Between 09-29 November 2023, a TDA is established within 5 NM radius centred at 530958N 0003126W.

6 The TDA is established between surface and FL105.

7 Within EG D398, A Danger Area Crossing Service (DACS) will be available from Waddington Zone on 119.600 MHz when open.

8 With EG D398, A Danger Area Activity Information Service (DAAIS) will be available from London Information on 124.600 MHz.

9 Further information regarding EG D398 available for operational purposes such as pre-flight information from RAF Waddington
ATC by telephone 01522-727451 / 727452.

10 Danger Area Authority for EG D398 is Dr P Downer, Protector CAM & ASI.

11 Further information regarding DACS and DAAIS can be found within UK AIP Enroute ENR 1.1 - General Rules.

13 As part of the ACP process requirements, the MOD is collecting feedback regarding this TDA and its impact over its duration which
will be shared with the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).
