Notam is now up.
1100-1400 local on the 20th, back up of 0700-1000 local on the 21st.

I heard that the Lanc had gone tech.Anyone heard anything else on this ?

Over running winter maintenance has delayed it's return. From the BBMF themselves:
Finally, the huge amount of work carried out on the BBMF Lancaster since October 2023 including, not least, the fitment of brand-new tail planes, a new tail wheel support structure and new bearers for two of the engines, has delayed its return to flight beyond the expected date. The Lancaster still needs its main wheels building up and fitting, and its hydraulic system activating and testing, as well as ground engine runs. It now seems certain that the Lancaster will not be available for the BBMF Public Display Authority later this month and it will probably not be flying before the end of May.

Thanks both for your info. Bit gutted about the Lanc. Guessing they will use Dakota for PDA ?

If they do use a Dakota it will be KP220/G-ANAF they've been borrowing from Aero Legends for crew training so far this year with the BBMF's Dakota on overhaul

From what I've learnt today, the BBMF fighters have only practiced solo and tail chase displays - they've not done anything about the synchro display, not sure if that's on the cards for this year anyway?
I don't believe they've done any practice displays in the Dak either.

G-ANAF is one of the DC3's that's listed to be possibly tied up for a month with D-Day Squadron events.

We know and appreciate how much people enjoy watching our aircraft, particularly the many people who visit us year-round.
Whilst we would love to be able to satisfy all of the people who want to watch, unfortunately the only recommended viewing area we have is our Enthusiasts car park on Dogdyke Road.
If people try to watch our activities from other locations around the station or under the display line, it has the potential to cause flight safety concerns. Therefore we respectfully ask that you don't try to watch us from other alternative locations.

"RAF Coningsby..... with all due respect....whilst you practice your displays over FOUR villages (Dogdyke - Hawthorn Hill - Scrub Hill - New York) Please do NOT try and tell us where we can watch from."
