Rather than the base recieving hundreds of requests for families day tickets, could the Forum admin team make a formal request for a visit or access to the event, or at other times suitable to the base authorities. We appear to have a few Forum members 'inside the wire' maybe they could help or provide the necessary contact.

Re: RAF Coningsby Families day 2010
Im glad they are having another families day . They usually have one every 2 years now at Coningsby so its time for the next one in 2010. I hope they manage to draw some good participation. Does anyone remember 2006. What a show that was dispite the weather not being great. Typhoon, F-86 Sabre, Hunter, Danish F-16, Harrier, just to mention a few. It was like a full on airshow . 2008 wasn't as good but still great to see displays at RAF Coningsby now that they dont have an airshow anymore. Would be great to see all the RAF Displays there in 2010 plus the Blades, Team Guinot, Team Viper and ofcourse the Vulcan. I guess we will have to wait and see.
