Departing Falcons?

Post by Pune » Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:28 pm

Hi folks,
As we left Coningsby earlier today, around 3.15 ish, we saw two 'private' type jet aircraft depart one after the other, any info' appreciated, were they Falcons ferrying VIP's perchance, I'm afraid I'm not too educated with that type of aircraft.
Cheers in advance.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Possibly the Cobham Falcon 20s that have been reported there recently?

They've been pretty common this past week, working mainly with 41 squadron but also heard them working with 12 squadron.

I was testing ADS-B Exchange v 360Radar v AirNav Radar Box yesterday afternoon and was watching these aircraft and comparing the results from each of the trackers. The Falcons flew out of Coningsby about 1530h as Mothball 91 and 92 and then engaged with three 100 Sqn Hawks over the sea off the Lincs/Yorks coast - Agreessor 31, 32 and 33. The Hawks returned to Leeming, and the Falcons landed at Teesside around 1700h.
