The first Tucano wouldn't have been ZF284, as that's preserved at Shoreham (and possibly in the USA by now). :)

Thanks for posting log. Was there am and though 46+55 was an arrival. 6 tonkas & 6 GAF typhoons up ain't bad plus an aircraft swop.

You are indeed the purveyor of Quality Seasoned Logs as per the notice seen from the main road just out of Fighter Town UK.

There was a typhoon which was towed out (near the German twin seat typhoon) uncoded & taken around the back of all the HAS. Rumour was ZK358 can anybody confirm this?

I did see an unmarked/uncoded typhoon on tow through the 3(F) HAS area at 1109L.It had u/wing tanks fitted. Annoyingly I can't make out serial on image as behind a fence (or 2) as I was near 11(F) HAS area at time. It had the rear upper fuselage "bumps" so a Block 25. so would rule out ZK358 (BS119). Most likely a very recent delivery.

30+73 spcl fin was also on EGRs near 11(F) sqn shelter complex am; obviously to clear a snag. flew pm as noted in Captain's Log.

Sorry can't really help on um tiffy.

Cheers

thought only Bk25s had provision for dorsal tanks not BK20s. (1st Bk20 is of course ZK355/BS116 still at my local airfield) .I therefore stand corrected as on both so called Tranche 3 blocks - I wait with baited breath to see if these structural attachments are ever used....
Please see my typhoon images on UK Serials (on production acceptance tests etc. alot on first flt.). I should have checked them first....

Cheers
