Will the PDA be the Typhoon as well as BBMF (minus the Lanc)?

According to BBC Weather, things look pretty good for tomorrow up until about 1400 and also not too bad on Thursday.

Typhoon has PDA approval, photo on twitter by pilot.

Would presume BBMF happened before that, they were up at 10am.

Shame, dozens of disappointed plane spotters today at 1pm.

Now, I don't do twitter, and hence have no idea when the PDA flight occurred.

To my surprise, I can't find out (it seems) within the FC info.

Where is The Captain in this difficult time.

At least it happened on the same day. Well deserved if the practice slots were anything to go by.
P.s. Must look into this Facebook/Twitter thing. It seems to be quite popular. :D

Don't forget the Lanc has yet to fly.

So there is another PDA still on the books sometime next month, it seems

Congratulations to Fl. Lt. Mark Long on achieving PDA approval.

Whilst we can understand the weather shift, a lot of us FCers are not best pleased at Twitterway of informing.

Well the moaners should probably realise that PDA Day is not an airshow, the NOTAM's are a Notice to Airmen not a "Notice to come and watch our airshow"

Well the PDA was done outside of the NOTAM, how could he have passed? Might have been an accident.

He passed because he met every requirement laid forth as part of the public display approval process.

What might have been an accident?

NoTAMs are (I assume) flexible for things like weather, or I would assume a change to the NoTAM was sent out first thing.

Not to mention that as AOC 1 Group had gone to the trouble of popping over I guess it was happening. Its part of the price you have to pay now that we only have 1 FJ doing displays I'm afraid.

EDIT

to quote the post before mine

He passed because he met every requirement laid forth as part of the public display approval process. (At a time moved forward) So no accident I am afraid. He was signed off by the boss!

So some missed it = Better luck next time.

Tim
