That's what I have seen. Keep looking out for this week then, unless "display's on the NOTAMS are not "full".

Maybe a coincidence, omission, mistake or whatever, but the Reds practice times today do not give the number of aircraft taking part. This is unusual.
When they do go "nine" they do not advertise in advance.

Pure speculation really!

I guess thy would have known on the training schedule when they expected to get the first nine ship. Obviously achieved today.

A first "away day" would probably have been dependent on getting the first done, weather etc.

Presumably expect nine for tomorrow's practices.

Logical?

Hey folks, I have nothing to suggest there will not be any 9 Ships tomorrow so there probably will be, its slightly annoying they have not put numbers one, especially as they have already done their 9 ships today anyway! I am not going to bother waking any sources up at this hour just to ask how many aircraft will be flying in each one but if I get the aircraft numbers again tomorrow I will update our website (www.egxwinfogroup.co.uk) Reds times are on front page. Just annoying and don't see any point to them keeping quiet, but hey!

RAF Valley Tuesday 1st March at 1530
RAF Linton Thursday 3rd March at 1000

Reading the other post about the NOTAM for Coningsby tomorrow, and assuming no flying (am I wrong?) how does this square with the Red Arrows practce display going on.

Just like to be clear as, while I like the Reds displays, I'm not going to do the 1 3/4 hour drive each way just for them.
Thanks

The other NOTAM is similar to those posted for night flying, and on those occasions day flying does occur. The Typhoon display display also has two practise slots designated for tomorrow. Friday afternoon at Coningsby does tend to be quite quiet most weeks.

Yeah tomorrow is a no flying day at Coningsby however the Reds are covered for there practice display, there was a Typhoon Display on the cards for Friday (They have NOTAMed two slots a day for most of this week however they intended only to use a few, one on Friday being one for the few) however I have not got the final confirmation of one yet and it's possible I won't get any more info so just be aware they could be one at one of those times and it's fine that it's a no flying day generally. The earlier slot is normally the Primary.

At the risk of sounding pedantic, can people please be cautious about referring to these OSP's as "displays" - the Reds are not permitted to display to the public until they have achieved PDA - they are currently PDA'd for flypasts only, not display, and in the light of the current Daily Fail fuelled hysteria around the airshow scene it pays to be careful on this one, I think. The practise at CGY, along with those scheduled for Valley & Linton are just that - practises, exactly the same as those that take place at Scampton.

However, that notwithstanding, those who are going, enjoy!
