I have not seen anything posted anywhere on here. So it would seem they didn't fly today.

As posted several pages back and Indeed on the RAF website, via the base itself.

The exercise starts tomorrow, so either they were doing ground training or they were out sight seeing.

The field at the 25 end is getting pretty full but still a lot of spaces. The farmer has cut the field back so there's room for cars pretty much all the way around. Parking is by donation, all proceeds to the Bomber Command Museum.

Military "security patrol" in civvy van arrived just as first taxied out to tell everyone to remove ladders from the fence line. Very quickly changed to "no ladders touching the fence"

Left not long after, having asked someone to guide them out of the soot they'd got boxed in to.

Could someone just reply back if poss when the Indians landed. Did they turn off left short or go all the way down to 07 and then turn left. Many thanks. Steve

Mention I feel must be made for the farmer who has let us all use his field for our hobby at the 25 end. Big pat on the back to him and make sure you give a donation!

p.s. Please don't walk into the middle of his field!

Cheers and enjoy

Well said!

That farmer is putting up with a lot, the least we can do is to make a donation into that box at the entrance. Without the use of that field many of the shots shown here could not have been taken.

Is there any word on what Flanker squadron it is across? I've seen a couple of mentions of it being 2 Squadron (Winged Arrows) from Tezpur AFS. Anyone able to confirm?
Cheers

Hi guys,
Hoping to make the trip up to CBY next week to get the Indians. Can anyone advise whether there is a general timetable for the exercise operations, e.g. time of departures, no. of missions daily etc. Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Scott

Hi Scott. I doubt you'll be able to get any solid information. The best thing to do is monitor some of the excellent logs posted on here to see what's been flying. Personally I've just booked Thursday off, will head to CBY early doors and keep my fingers crossed. I might be lucky, I might be not. That is the beauty of our hobby.
