GAF deployment
Morning Guys
Does anyone have a concrete date for the arrival of the German contingent? I have days remaining to be booked at work but do not want to waste one on the wrong day! I have heard March 1/2??
Cheers
Mark

Re: GAF deployment
Just remember that the Germans refer to their aircraft as EF2000's and not as we do the Typhoon. The name has bitter memories from the Second World War.

I was told March 6th yesterday from a member of her majesty's air force. Although I have heard the 3rd too.

Re: GAF deployment
Unknown to most but we have a Wing Commander living here in Spalding who flew Hawker Typhoons in the lead up to and after D-Day. His descriptions of the toll they took on German armour and infantry, amongst other things, provides a very good insight as to why they are not keen on calling their Eurofighters "Typhoons".
Perhaps the deployment is Bf109's, Flugwerke 190's and a couple of CASA 2.111's on exchange with the BBMF!!
