just in time for RIAT what a surprise

Re: Visitors
Wadd's runway should be finished several months before July even with the current projected date. Briefing delivered today apparently claimed 4 x Indian EF2000s due at CBY for a 4-night stay. Someone's going to be disappointed when he gets bolognese instead of balti for lunchbaz1 wrote:Gary
I thought they mentioned they would return to Waddington in the future but by the looks of it the runway works
have put paid to that.. unless of course its completed in time????? and a lot more parking space available!
keep up the good work BUD
regards
baz

4x Indian Typhoon should be interesting considering they have just committed to buying Rafale!Thor wrote:

Re: Visitors
Sometimes, Chris, they use "India" followed by the last four digits of their serial. Certainly represented as such on PP and, I believe (from various reports), on R/T.

Actually the R/T callsign is IAM [India Alpha Mike] followed by usually three numbers

Re: Visitors
Thanks for that
I had planned to head up to Leeming on Sunday evening to it would be a mega bonus if the Italians are outside at fightertown.
4 EF2000 !! wow I noticed two serials and I need both of them.
(I remember 4 turned up last June when I was out of the country - is it a good will visit/jolly?)

Indian AF to UK maybe !!!!
I saw a thread some time ago with a mention of a deployment to the UK of Indian AF 76/78's and Flankers, has anyone else heard about this ? any truth in it ? and if so would they be based at Waddington again.
Many thanks

Re: Indian AF to UK maybe !!!!
Yes I should have thought about that before posting the question, however I have seen posts, if memory serves towards the begining of the year and this week, maybe if it is true they will deploy elsewhere.
Here's hoping
