Do the Typhoon's have BAE construction numbers!

I know they use the Variant number (BS001/BT001 etc) and Set number (037/004 etc). IIRC Tornado production used a c/n sequence in the 3001 series.

I think they're just using the variant numbers, they certainly don't seem to have it painted on like the Tornados do though!
