Re: ZJ940
It had several test-flights from Warton before delivery - just to make sure it was perfect.
It was then delivered to Coningsby on 20/09/07 and then taken to bits to provide spare-parts for other Typhoons.
Madness !

Re: ZJ940
Resurrecting an old thread, but have ZJ940, ZJ945 and ZJ948 ever flown since arriving at Coningsby 17 years ago?? With the imminent Tranche 1 withdrawal they must be the three with the lowest hours, I'd be surprised if it was double figures for each!
Re: ZJ940
ZJ940, ZJ945 and ZJ948 are stored in HAS's at Coningsby. ZJ945 did fly briefly with 3 Sqn but all three are what would have been called hangar queens in the past, presumably now a HAS queen.
The best place for getting information about RAF Typhhoons is the Coningsby Aviation website "milky01.co.uk".

Re: ZJ940
I've found evidence of ZJ945 departing for the Falklands on 12th September 2009 (https://www.fast-air.co.uk/raf-coningsb ... ight-1435/) but it returned to Coningsby on Tuesday 22nd September as ASCOT 9615, so I guess it got as far as Ascension island. That flight may mean the airframe hours are over 20!

Re: ZJ940
945 was kicking about as QO-F for most of June/July/August 2009. As stated it went out on the 12th September returning on the 22nd. Its not flown since.
948s last flight 8th Jan 2009
940 no idea of its last flight, but not since delivery
326 has been reasonably non active with both 6 and 1 sqns
