As part of the RAF Air Cadets Aerospace camp at RAF Syerston, they will once again be having an air display on the Wednesday.
Should be Red Arrows, Typhoon, Chinook, BBMF and 'something American' - not sure what the latter is.
Two NOTAMs for the event:
H5445/22 - AIR DISPLAY WI 5NM RADIUS: 530121N 0005453W (SYERSTON AD,
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE). FOR INFO 01400 264520/128.525MHZ. SEE J SERIES

Latest on this:
Typhoon to open, Reds to close.
BBMF and Chinook displays, Puma flypast, Merlin landing in for static and an F-15E or two to perform a flypast.

Thanks for the info on this. I'm definitely considering going
I noticed the notam for temporary restrictions starts at 1pm....I presume this will be approx the time of the typhoon display?
That is assuming it's going to be displaying at all and won't be cancelled?
It was meant to be coming to the valley families day but never turned up

Just seen a program, the F-15s are infact 2x F-35s - title says 'roll demonstration'.
They are due at 14.50 for 15 mins.

Do you have any other times that you wouldn't mind posting (or DM if not) please? I assume Typhoon at 1.30 and Reds at 16.25?

Does anyone know of possible frequencies to listen in to so i can get ready in the car park at work tomorrow when things are happening?

Thanks for that mate, will listen out. Theres been a steady stream of light aircraft arrivals for it over the last 20 minutes or so

Does anyone have info on what display/ crowd line will be. When I've seen the Reds display there in the past it's seemed to be the East/ West cross runway? Sorry don't have the designations to hand. MTIA.

They've been landing on 24 today, so would think the 24/06 runway is the display line, with aircraft displaying over the valley?

Well, no sign of the Typhoon display, I get a funny feeling F-35s may be a no show, too? Second glider display of the afternoon commencing....

God bless the Americans, Axe Formation, I believe, 2x F-35A. Flypasts, missed approach and near vertical departure with burners. Best thing the Cadets will see today!

Most impressive it was to, where has that been all summer? Would have been great at the American air day at Duxford!
