AAC323 : ZJ1(6)9

ZJ169 went to Boeing at Mesa in March as part of the upgrade programme.

Is it back yet and if not do you know which one is using its Hex code as it was showing as ZJ169 - my photo looks like it ends in 9 ?

Thanks

No upgraded cabs will be back for a couple of years yet.

For the last few years Apaches have frequently flown with different codes than what appears in people DBs.

Do not trust AAC Apache Hex codes without visual confirmation.

All the Apaches I read off ( not in brackets) also appeared correctly on adsbExchange

I don't need ZJ169 ( saw it at middle wallop) but I wish I had a better photo of AAC323 (ZJ169) - has ZJ179 been noted at Wattisham recently?

Also today outlaw 1/2 I read as ZJ183 and ZJ224 - they also appeared correctly.

Having now looked at the photo on a lap top in a darkened room! I now 'fairly' sure the serial is ZJ178 ( 8 and 9 do look similar) . The second digit is definitely a 7 so I am going to log ZJ178 for the Apache that shows as ZJ169 on adsbExchange - Edit this is guff - the Apache looks more like ZJ179 on another photo!

ZJ178 showed on ADS-B over Guildford as 'AAC782' at @1107 on Tuesday 13th November on a heading of 244 degrees and right above my house.

Thanks

I think I will have to scrub that one until next time - 43C240 AAC 323 13/11

Edit : having looked at the photo in a darkened room with a wet towel over my head I am going to have this as ZJ179.

(Definitely ZJ17* looks more like a 9 than 8 plus as mentioned above ZJ178 was on VR operating from Middle Wallop on 13/11)
