USMC 35s
USMC 35s
Just heard here in West London the USMC pair doing targeting of Lakenheath [ om 388.2] . Signal was loud and clear and quite interesting.

Re: USMC 35s
There was a rumour for 9/11 but that isn't looking too likely as there isn't any KC-10 about?
There was another rumour that they were staying until march!! But I can't see that either
Marham is NOTAM'd shut on 9-11 and again on 13 Nov so I thought one of those days was a possibility but wait until tankers start appearing in Mildenhall.

Re: USMC 35s
I always understood them to be staying until joining the carrier in January for the full cruise and returning to USA after the cruise but going by the carrier not as a trans Atlantic fighter drag, that`s how I read the original press briefs anyway
no information to back up this idea just my interpretation
it would be no different to a 6 month deployment to mid east if they did stay
would make no sense to fly them back to USA and then bring them back again in a couple of months time

I saw an article or an interview with a high ranking naval officer, cannot quite remember which, quite a while back that the CSG deployment starts in May 2021.

Re: USMC 35s
There is a KC135 on a GOLD callsign on the way into Mildenhall and a number of tankers with GOLD callsigns that positioned to Bangor last night so I would guess they will return to the US midweek this week

Have all the usmc 35s gone home or any still here
Re: USMC 35s
One went tech and another stayed behind with it.
Re: USMC 35s
Tracked a KC-130 leaving Marham on a short hop to Mildenhall yesterday morning. I assume it will stay at the hall until these last two F-35 go.

Re: USMC 35s
GOLD75 active at Mildenhall presumably for the two F35’s and the USMC KC130J is shortly to make the hop across from Mildenhall
