Re: Log Marham 15/16-9-20
Thanks for the log Phil
I was there from about 13.15 to 15.15 yesterday (16th).
Where did you see ZM143 please?
We saw 4 RAF F.35s in the shed, reading off 3 of them.
ZM139 /005
ZM140 /006
ZM149 /015
There was another that was towed past the shed whilst we there, but we didn’t get anything on that either.
Thanks
Phil M

Re: Log Marham 15/16-9-20
Reported as in the daily reports as doing engine runs, when i drove past one aircraft had engine running, so I assumed it was this (2+2=5 and all that) , might have to remove it from the list then, oh fudgeZZZ wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:06 amThanks for the log Phil

Re: Log Marham 15/16-9-20
Well it could have been the 4th one that we were unable to read? That’s what I was hoping!!
Maybe someone else will have read it.
Cheers

ZM143 009 was the one towed out to perform engine runs on the 16th.
Also ZM139 005 and ZM140 006 flew from 1525 to 1640 approx .

re the RAF F-35s on Wed 16th you need to make sure you are not getting confused. We were there from 09:30 to 10:30 and in that time none moved and none were engine running. The 4 under the shed were from left to right 005, 011, 016 and 006. So as Phil M did not manage to read off the 4th one I would query whether 015 is correct. I was using a Swarovski on a tripod. A friend who was there about 11:00 read the same four.

Re: Log Marham 15/16-9-20
Whilst ZM139/005 & ZM140/006 were flying around 1600 hours the codes of the two left in the shed that I read off were 015 (ZM149) & 016 (ZM150).
I was there from around 1015 until 1645 but didn't see any move like Phil M. I had been given the 4 codes that Martin has quoted but only managed to read 006 first thing. Maybe 011 and 015 swapped during the day.
Hope this may help a little!
Mike

My mate has a photo taken at 13.44 which shows ZM149 /015 being towed into the shed.
005 and 006 are also identifiable in his photos- the fourth looks like it might be 016 but is very grainy. But this appears to be confirmed by Mike (thank you!)
The fifth (ZM143) was towed past the shed at around 14.00- unfortunately my mate didn’t rush to get a shot as we thought it would be towed into the shed as 015 had been. Instead it was towed out of sight- presumably for engine runs.
Cheers

Re: Log Marham 15/16-9-20
First of all thanks to all the people in this forum and in the Heads-Up section who have provided all the guidance, tips and advice during this deployment; its been around 30 years since I last made it over there so it made life a lot easier. Thanks also to the guys on Wednesday, especially the chaps from Manchester and Mr Norwich - me and the black lab appreciated your company!
From the zoomed photos I took on Wednesday of the RAF shelter off the A1122 side between 11.15 and 12.15 BST I can confirm the four that "Lytham TL" quotes, but right to left as 006 was the easiest to start with:
ZM140: 006 serial, nose and tail codes visible
ZM150: 016 serial and tail code visible
ZM14(5): 011 partial serial and tail code visible
ZM135: 005 serial and tail code visible
I didn't see any of the taxiing ones sadly but did note the ground crew crawling all over 005 and 006 which I understand did a flight after I left for Lakenheath.
All the best,
Martin
