Hi all,

Seen some great photos recently of the F-35’s entering or leaving their new hangar complex. I was there today but couldn’t figure out where to go, can anyone please help?

Cheers Andy

I haven't seen the photos but to get shots of aircraft exiting the 617sqn complex you have to be looking from the track running down to the fence from the Grain silos , known locally as the 'silos' which are north of the 06 holding point; you can see the silos from the hill at the 24 departure end.

Not related to the original question but some people walk right to the fence at the 24 holding point to get ground shots, effectively right under the approach lights - not sure if this is allowed? I personally haven't bothered as it is quite a walk.

I'm quite interested in the content of these two posts, but I'm mystified about a) the photos and b) the location Slogen51 references.

Having looked on Google Maps I'm none the wiser. Any help with either would be appreciated! Thank you!

Take care when driving up White lane - it is just a track.

The (little used ) northern taxiway from the fence near point K above
