Has the construction work finished now for the F35.

Is there any picture as google earth shows the construction in mid progress.

The next scheduled phase of works is supposed to be the upgrading of the eastern HAS areas when 9 and 31 squadrons operated from until March. I believe these are likely to be for the Royal Navy squadrons. Most (if not all) taxi and runway works are now complete.

Jason, there is some satellite imagery available online dated from last week, however the resolution for now is not really ample enough to provide a clear image of the finished works.

If and when something better becomes available, I will post a link/screenshots here.

Google Earth?
I'm afraid not. Google Earth satellite imagery updates are sporadic I'm afraid. You'll find much more frequent satellite image updates posted here:

https://eos.com/landviewer/?lat=52.4786 ... .08215&z=9

With a free account you'll be able to see up to 10 low resolution images, but be wary as many are blanketed with cloud cover and clicking on one imagery tile will add it to your tally of 10, regardless of whether you actually wish to see it or not.

I will keep looking every so often for imagery tiles which show RAF Marham without cloud cover and with better resolution

Hello all

Quick question hopefully.

In the 'new' (refurbed) section to the south of the airbase, there are currently 32 or so spaces for aircraft parking (not including hangar space).

Whilst this will obviously be enough for a few years, if the RAF/FAA do eventually get more than the 48 aircraft slated, are there any known plans on what area of the airbase will house them?

Many thanks in advance.

Bing maps seem to be a little more up to date, the area is certainly much tidier than the image above.

Just looking at that Google Earth image - I went there just now and that is what appears at first... However, if you go to the date icon at the top and click on that, you get a version that is much later, with all the construction work completed...

You can fit two in a HAS which brings the total to 44.

Think the OP was talking about the newly constructed sheltered parking rather than HAS's? of which there are 24 anyway making a possible 48 spaces?

That aside, you will never get all airframes all on base and operational at the same point, There will be ones deployed, on heavy maintenance in the hangars etc.

On the right side of the image is 207 SQN buildings which comes with a hangar which takes 6 or more from the photos I've seen, the plan is the HAS site where 9 & 31 used to be will be upgraded so that'll be able to take a few there when the FAA stand up there in a couple years.
