207 Squadron OCU
207 Squadron OCU
Good to see most of the F35's back on home shores, which got me thinking about the OCU which was scheduled to head to the UK summer 2019, which (theoretically) is now (although not a huge amount of summer weather has been experienced yet!).
Anyone out there got any more specific detail on when they are planned to arrive and with how many aircraft?
Thanks.

Re: 207 Squadron OCU
With ZM137/139/149/150/151 plus ZM152 that will soon be delivered (f/f 12/06/2019), I would guess that they will send (possibly) four over for starters- like 617's first delivery.
It would appear from Scramble that ZM152 was the only RAF one to be produced out of LRIP XI (FY17) - https://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php ... start=1305 - so it will probably be some months before any more are produced.
This assumes that ZM135/136 and ZM138 remain at Edwards.

Re: 207 Squadron OCU
1st July is what was originally announced in 2017 (https://web.archive.org/web/20170728213 ... -05072017/), although the most recent news article on the RAF website only states "the next step in the development of the F-35 will be the standing-up of 207 Squadron at RAF Marham later this summer" (https://www.raf.mod.uk/news/articles/f- ... -training/) so the reform date might have changed.

Well it's never spot on due to winds across the Atlantic but currently I'm hearing later than that
... should be FIVE aircraft.
