I think it would have been mentioned by now if it had gone to Leeming

Even though they do have a habit of sneeking into RTP :'(

The Jet has not long been Fitted with TCAS, my understanding is any airframes with High hours/RTP won't get fitted with it due to the amount it costs to Fit.

Gareth, the Tornado fleet never change their three digit tail codes. The only times they do is if they're painted into a special colour scheme, or used by 41 sqn, etc.

It's 119. As I've said the 3 digit codes don't change - all of the codes are in the original post in this thread by Steven.

Gareth, if you look at page 1 of this thread, you will see all the serials/codes listed - if you need to know again. :)

Can someone actually post a pic of the TCAS II aerials as I cant seem to see anything pointing to where they are? Despite someone on here stating that last year?

I tend to look at the aircraft not all the wiggly lumps and bumps!! :Wow:

Mark

It should be the bump on top of the jet behind the cockpit. Replacing the twin UHF antenna. From memory the aerial your referring to is a data link for troops on the ground? Think that's what the pilot said during a tour of the jet

Spot on Gary that's the Tactical Data Link, TCASII is the Little Grey Bump where the old HF Antenna which haven't been used for anything since the GR1 became the GR4.

Tim this should clear things up.

Thanks all

I did notice that when ZG777 was on 41 as EB-Q it had several of the little white circular jam jar style lids on it in 2013/14 but not that bothered what they were for.
