Re: Tonka Deployment
Guys
Whilst all this movement is exciting( which I agree that it is) there is a reason why the media etc do not actually report the departure of aircraft at the time, it can potentially give vital details away to an enemy such a aprroximate time on target (most people can get flying times if they are in the know) and amount of aircraft etc and I urge a bit of restraint when reporting details. Yes, there is a lot of this on the internet but the more that it is published, then the greater the chance that something could go wrong
Thank you for reading this

Re: Tonka Deployment
Well said Beaker1971. I wonder how someone people would feel if their brotheers/sisters were in one of the jets launched last night; only to heard that a jet was shot down, as people were lying in wait for them, details picked up from forums. Back in GW1 and GW2, there was a time delay on transmission of information, so not to highlight the fact a formation was airborne.
Re: Tonka Deployment
Did these guys return to Marham or are they stationed somewhere else now?

Re: Tonka Deployment
Haven't heard a flt number mentioned yet. Only 906 Expeditionary Air Wing for the Gioia del Colle deployment.
The only squadron i know for sure taking part is No.IX(B)Sqn. Haven't heard anything from No.II(AC)Sqn since it all kicked off...
