I'm probably mistaken, but I think usually there's an A400M that repositions to Gander (or thereabouts) to provide SAR cover for the trip over. That might be the tell tale sign.

The Voyager has gone to collect the 3 x 41 Sqn Typhoons that are currently conducting trials in the States, not remotely connected to F35s.

With 207 pilots either flying out or on HMS PWLS, the last thing they can do is go and pick up new jets, delivery is October or November.
