Req: 09/07 Late arrival??

Post by Whoppa722002 » Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:55 pm

Good evening while staying at a campsite in Mildenhall I've been keeping an eye on Marham's movements and noticed a 330 tanking an F-35 from the US.
Do we know if this is a single or multiple fighter tow?
Plus are there any expected movements tomorrow being a Friday??..

Thanks for any help...

Looks like Ascot 9701 will arrive well after dark something like 22:30-23:00L

If you are keen ( or mad) you might be able to read off the code if the shelter area or line is lit up but I wouldn't fancy standing by the main road in the dark.

In my experience Friday's can be reasonable with perhaps two pairs in the morning but you never really know until you leave for home!

Yes that sounds sensible - a chance of some reapers at 08:00 and if Marham are flying then the recoveries at Marham should be around 11am.

You can hear Marham departures on 343.975 from Lakenheath

But it is all guess work.

Also it might be worth keeping an eye on Mildenhall as it is Notam'd for a change of command so there will be quiet hours but you may get a fly past at some point ?

With not spotting at Marham before, where would be the best place to head straight to, do you have a sat nav reference?.

Thanks for the advice and help..

https://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.u ... marham.php

If 24 is in use then spot A for arrivals, spot H for departures and vice versa if 06 in use
