Great pub , gravity fed beer in the bar, good food but not on Mondays

Prints of aircraft that were based up the road over the years

( Alf Kirchen late of Norwich Arsenal and England started his playing career at Shouldham )

Massive thread creep - I should moderate myself :)

Very quiet week so far. Strange when you pop in to the local boozer and everyone is talking about boats. Come back 617 Sqn please!
August is traditionally a quiet month anyway around the bases, what with the school holidays and all leave extended ,things should pick up towards the end of the month just before the exercises comense.

By the sounds of it the RAF seem to be like a driver with an expensive new Sports Car, they never bring it out of the garage - even when it’s dry or raining.

I gave up counting for last week but today (2/9) there were seven callsigns made up of 5 different aircraft - quite busy considering there are only 15 aircraft on hand

W/c 23/9

As of Wednesday afternoon I don't think any F-35B have been up this week?

I was at Marham last week, talk from the base say it's quiet as they're prepping for departure to WESTLANT19. Need enough aircraft and spares to go  . At least one flew yesterday though.

According to Marham social media it will be a busy six months with westlant 19 and Red Flag!

I am wondering whether the lightnings will deploy to Nellis after leaving HMS Queen Elizabeth?

Any idea when they are heading West? Thought it might of been before October but that isn't looking very likely now unless they go at the weekend!

I was passing Marham this afternoon at 1430, a single F-35 was circuit bashing. Any offers?

ZM151 now coded 017 on the nose and the top of the tail. ZM148 flew in the morning with new code 014 applied in the same places. It also had a new lightning flash applied to the tail.

Looks like their c/n applied as code on the nose and tail- again a new code system introduced on a new RAF jet...
Cheers,

Maurits
