F35 Delivery Schedule

Post by grimly aviation pics » Sat Jun 09, 2018 8:18 pm

Hi Guys

Just a question out of interest, to my knowledge we currently have 15 F35 airframes split between Marham and Beaufort, USA. But does any one know the delivery schedule from Lockheed to the RAF ? Before I get ripped apart by a sarcastic replies I'm curious how often we are to expect new airframes delivered over the next few months ?

They were taking delivery every two to three months. Next 5 should arrive sometime in August. So the third delivery might not happen until end of the year. Depends how many they are keeping at the OCU on top of the 3 with 17 Squadron. Or if they are going to bring the rest in batches

They are expected to have 42 in 2023 so that about 6 a year until then, I would not got to Marham expecting wall to wall action

Gary you have gone all footbally???? Lol

When will we see the other 5? I thought they were due sometime in July?

Also will we see any of the ones here already? Fly ? or is it only going to be for the 100th celebrations?

Thanks

Kev

If they do fly for the 100th then they will need to rehearse during the week before. Fingers crossed they soon start flying and deafening the West Norfolk residents!

An earlier thread today or yesterday reported one outside for a while.
