The Dyess 130 was towed on to SOG ROW from the 95th ramp this evening if you can class that as a movement.

No movement on Monday prior to 1610hrs when I left. 20+ a/c parked in large group to the east of 11[?] threshold - LN a/c?

FYI.
I was issued with a MOD Form 852 for being parked on a public road about 12 metres from the fence line. Others [pedestrians], standing next to the fence were also issued with a form. Forms were also issued to everyone in the private field close to the threshold [11] according to the very friendly MOD policeman.
I declined to offer personal details, suggesting that he could collect everything that he needed via my car registration and the DVLA. He was happy with that.

The devil is in the detail - on the Form and therefore for future evidence is the statement "Vehicle parked by fence line". No quite an accurate statement of the facts, so check what is on the Form before accepting one!

My service and subsequent working experience with MOD police is that their juristiction ended on the airfield boundary but they would then liaise with the civilian police if a threat was apparent. Is my memory failing or have things changed? Comments/guidance, please.

C24
ps - I was advised to retain the Form for future presentation. Ironic really, since I had given considerable thought on the journey to MDL whether or not to "announce" myself to Security on arrival. I did not get the opportunity as I was approached within 10 minutes of arrival and I was still getting my bearings - it was my first visit.

Thanks 'BOLLO'. They do not normally attack little ole gray-haired ladies, so I should be ok.

SO - any flying today? What about Wed/Thursday? Anyone any ideas?

I was in Johns field until about 12 and during that time two 135's came in and parked up where the rc's used to park. There were also two parked down the other end. No activity from the based stuff though including the F15's.

No one is is quite sure what the deal is with the F15's and why they have not flown yet.Quite a few had the cockpits open and one was towed to the south side and seen in a hangar when i left tonight.I would think they will be up some time soon so keep ya fingers crossed and keep turning up.

Regarding yesterdays little activity in the air enabled me to garner many shots on the ground these two from the cargo door of a parked up KC135 looking towards the hangar/tower, I have dozens of other shots to upload of Mildenhall Base generally but they will come later, the URL will be here or click on any photo for the album
