I played back my recording from Friday and caught TREND 41 flt coming in at 0520. Also GOLD the supporting tanker, whom I also caught calling Mildenhall OPS as he was inbound the 'Hall.

Just a query, there was a Southern Air jumbo in hold over the Norwich /Gt Yarmouth area about this time on the 8th, a friend of mine saw it circle 2 or 3 times.
If you 'rewind' casper.nl it actually did 4 or 5 laps and kept appearing and disappearing.
Before someone points it out i DO know it's a civvy flight but it was squawking a Lakenheath approach code.

Southern Air SO09748 B742

I don't know if this is normal or unusual it's just something a mate saw.

The jumbo was inbound to Lakenheath but was holding while awaiting a query with their flight plan from their opertator who instructed them to cancel their landing and return to their departure airfield but while heading back south the crew decided they did not have enough fuel to return and turned back to Lakenheath and landed.

Sorry it's a civy but it did sound a bit odd
