WA F-35s query

Hi all, I was thinking of coming down to Lakenheath at some point in the next week to try and catch any WA F-35s, however, since it was revealed in December that they would be repainted to have LN tail codes I was wondering if anyone would have any info on whether they would have been painted during the downtime over the past week and a half, or will they still have the WA tails for the time being.

I'm not expecting a definite answer, just wondering if there's any pointers I've missed about when the repaint will actually take place or just the general likelihood of whether it's already happened or not.

The 3 F-35s s coded WA still wear that code l haven't heard anything about being coded LN as they are on loan.

The 493d FGS has a patch depicting the painting out of the WA and into LN so read into that what you will.

The thread below suggests they will be repainted to "LN" in early 2025 and that they are new for the 48th FW and not temporary loan aircraft.
