Don’t think the 747 has departed, aerodrome was open till 19:00z. Looks like it’s night stopping.

Correction: Six! B744F and Four C-17 from Jordan since 19/12/2024

That is an awful lot of Strategic Hardware in Transit!

Bizarrely I wouldn't mind betting that is more Jumbo's than seen at Heathrow in the same period - I haven't looked but I am not sure there are any B747 services out of Heathrow now? Stansted still gets a few B744F - Lakenheath the UK's top B747 destination!

Oops! do Virgin still fly B744 from Gatwick?

No Virgin 747s left in service - last two survivors at Marana. Not sure about Heathrow but happy to one at any time so very welcome at Lakenheath - or floating past my window on finals.

Search on FR24 for 9VSF* to see Singapore Airlines to LHR. They have arrived about 18:00 on Thursday and Saturday for the last couple of years at least. Also, quite a few 747s use EMA. Sorry, non-military.

Singapore Cargo operate a few logistic flights from Heathrow once in a blue moon, last 747 I saw at Heathrow was theirs.
