A friend from East Anglia sent me a local tv report from yesterday showing a large gathering of CND people at RAF Lakenheath in the viewing area - putting up banners on the fences and saying they will be there for some time to come.
I came on FC to see anything about it - but surprised I can't find any mention of it on here (maybe i'm looking on the wrong place - again!)
With the large amount of members living in East Anglia area I'm surprised nobody else saw anything about this.

The only mention I've seen of it on the forum is in the last post here :- viewtopic.php?f=49&t=217930&p=1411106#p1411106

Think this is more a "General Chat" topic, surely?

Not really as it's to do with military aviation.

Is it? Not one aircraft involved, and the most connection to an airbase was a couple of fenceposts!

Maybe the Lakenheath section would be better in that case?

Could be due to the recent publicity of Lakenheath being used again to store NATO nuclear weapons and the upgrades of the base being done for it.

Isn't RAF Welford a USAF weapons store as well?

Yes it is, but non nuclear weapons only.

Have they taken root in the viewing area, or have they been moved on?
