SJ F-15E at Lakenheath
With all 15 of the SJ F-15Es now being back at Lakenheath can anybody say where they are parked, or if some are sheltered? Also a departure date if known? Thanks,
Re: SJ F-15E at Lakenheath
Last time they were here they all parked on the far side on the same ramp as the LN strike eagles behind the SEC building.

Hi Alf hope this helps Tuesday evening me and my son walked along the road and up on to the bank we counted at least 9 or10 SJ on Alpha pad were they were parked last time didn't really spend much time looking as we were after the AV f16s my guess is if you spend time you should see them

Are these due to leave anytime soon and will there be a swap over in the sandpit anytime soon. Not sure when they change.

Already changed, not the sandpit anymore but Poland instead. The 494th have replaced them.

Is this the road from the end of the runway to the base entrance, 1065 maybe, and if so where about is the bank you described?.Raptor22 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 10:55 pmHi Alf hope this helps Tuesday evening me and my son walked along the road and up on to the bank we counted at least 9 or10 SJ on Alpha pad were they were parked last time didn't really spend much time looking as we were after the AV f16s my guess is if you spend time you should see them

Can be seen and read from the farm track off the B1112 near the layby at the end of 06. There is a derelict farm house at the entrance to the track off the B1112. Was OK to drive down it this weekend, quite firm. The spot was at 52.403301 , 0.534485 on Google Maps. A bit of moving up and down the fence near this spot gives views of them, some in between buildings. This spot can also be accessed from Maids Cross Hill after a long walk.
