Stored/Scrapped Aircraft??
Planning a visit in April (14th-17th) and I want to tie up some loose ends regarding viewing the following. According to my DB and from Google Earth I've noticed that there are 2 x F-15's one A and one B, an F-111 and a F-4. Using Google Earth I've located all but one F-15, can these be viewed from outside the base?.
The remaining F-15 is that on the fire dump?, if not anyone help with its location?.
Also looking at Google Earth there is a Spitfire near the 3 x Jets is this a mock up if not do we have a registration for it?.
Thanks in advance
Wayne

Re: Stored/Scrapped Aircraft??
F-15A F-4 & F-111 are in the memorial park with the replica Spitfire and are not visible from outside that I'm aware of.
The latest copy of Wrecks and Relics which I've now had time to look at says the F-15B was in use as an instructional BDRF airframe but hadn't been noted since 2014 and is now deleted from their listing. Can't find anything on it anywhere else. Could still be there, may have been scrapped. I suspect, in any case, it was hangared during its tenure.

EuroDemobbed has the F-15B as being last noted in June 2018.
Re: Stored/Scrapped Aircraft??
Nice find, likely it lives in the HAS behind it then perhaps?

The big mound here gives some height to see the Memorial jets:-

When the foliage is clear, there is also a distant and obscured view of them from around here:-

The memorial park jets are visible from the highest point on the Warren.. at least in winter when there is less greenery in the way.bizfreeq wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:57 amF-15A F-4 & F-111 are in the memorial park with the replica Spitfire and are not visible from outside that I'm aware of.

The first coordinates, is that accessible using a car?
The second I've parked just of the road before and walked towards the end of 06, can you get to those coordinates that way or do you have to enter the warren from the village and then make the long walk?
Thanks for the info
