Nobody in ATC at LN had probably been advised that he maybe has support equipment from the recent F15 deployment at Keflavik. Good job he finally got cleared to land as there would have been substantial cost/time and general aggravation in recovering equipment by road from Stansted by 48TFW logistics team.

I never understand why the civvies that are used for these trips aren’t scheduled to arrive after normal F15 flying hours. Even the Military normally manage to bring the heavies in after and depart them before flying starts early in the day. Can’t be that hard to organise surely.
