Wow, I was hoping it had quieted down a bit with the kids back at school and maybe a few more back at work.

I think so was my friend, his thoughts were 50/50 spotters/non-spotters, strange is all these people watching the odd police car drive by and no flying

Will be quiet next week when the "new laws" come in.

Social gatherings of more than six people will be illegal in England from Monday as the Government seeks to curb the rise in coronavirus cases.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will use a press conference on Wednesday to announce the change in the law after the number of daily positive Covid-19 cases in the UK rose to almost 3,000.

11.10 Being advised that the road from car park/Viewing area all the way to Wangford Rd is more or less full with room for maybe 5/6 more cars only(probably full by time this gets posted, the area over by forest entrance is also rammed, just wish there were some aircraft to report on

Would this be classed as a gathering(same situation as people going to beach) ?, possibly but as long as people keep 2mts apart and are not with others then maybe not , hopefully you are correct and a lot of the non-spotting visitors may well stay away so it might be less busy but I think we need to see how it pans out and how the police manage it on a day to day basis,

Waited until lockdown had eased and schools were back to go again yesterday and could not believe how busy it was still.

Only been going for 4 or 5 years so not as long as some but its certainly caught the attention of people while they have had nothing else to do, unsure if the law impacts this next week - is it not the same as going to a park and maintaining social distancing as long as there are no more than 6 of you arranging to meet up? Have to wait and see as mentioned above.

I had an interesting time watching them chase each other in Weybourne norfolk last week (and no other people!) including a medium speed pass about a mile in land from the coast towards wells on sea.
Great to see.

At least if the tourists and life bloggers are at Lakenheath then proper spotters ( and photographers!) [ Do I sound like a snob :)] can go their local aerodrome relatively unhindered.
