Lakenheath 8/10
Anyone have any luck with the MO serials?
From the A1065 I could read tails:
209
183
1705 "389FS"
Plus 201 which now I am home may have been a LN
No canopies up etc

Planning a trip up later today. If you're able to advise which ramp they're on and the best location to view these from, it would be very much appreciated.

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
Just seen on the SMAS site that 201 is there (plus 1667)
Dropped the lot of course
They are parked by the A1065. Heading south pull into the little lane after the bend on the A1065. Walk a little further south about 200m and you will see them. If you walk up the bank there are some pine trees that help with the poling off. The main issue is the amount of construction work happening on base. I could read off four but five serials have been read by other people.

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
I read 87-0183 87-0209 87-0201 88-1667 & 88-1705 marked 389FS this morning. These are from left to right as looking from the lane.
I found it best to walk right out of the lane ie north and round the verge. They all become visible and readable eventually. The 5 can also be seen from the Warren.

Think I may have commented about now difficult the building works are making things while rummaging through the undergrowth!

Gents,
Does this mean the 6th is elsewhere or not readable?
TIA

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
The 6th one is believed hangared - probably TABOR12 that had the hydraulics failure last evening.
Cheers, Bob

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
Appears to be six in the line now - (90-0)235 being the additional one.

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
Any news when they’re due out?
Re: Lakenheath 8/10
tomorrow please, it will be my last day in lakenheath
Re: Lakenheath 8/10
I'm led to believe but by no means certain that, the first six will be departing tomorrow.

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
Now that we have got a second cell here (i.e. a source of spare jets), I would think that there is a good chance that six jets will go tomorrow.
1st six SJs back the next day per Nicosia NOTAM (plus 6 on 12th and 6 on 13th - hopefully)
Don't know the 1st bit for definite, it is merely a guess.

Re: Lakenheath 8/10
Is it true the Mo Eagles are heading for the sandpit instead of the 492nd ???

Can anyone remind what time they usually depart when going to the sandpit, early morning launch required!
