Strange that he is active on the forum but not responding to PMs or this thread. Should we all assume from this that Hernaman86 no longer wants any part of organising this tour?

Hi all

Nothing has changed, tour is still going ahead as far as I know, below is what I last recived from them and I was told we won’t hear anything until about 6 weeks prior when we will have to send in copies of identification, as soon as I have any more information I will post on here, But I have sent everyone private messages confirming their place, once I receive the final paper work I will send out my mobile number so I’m easier to get in touch with.

Hope you are all well

Michael

“Absolutely, I will book you in. Please keep an eye out for correspondences concerning your visit next year. Anticipate to receive documentation to complete for security purposes approximately 6 weeks to your tour date. You will also receive all information to ensure a smooth tour along with those documents.

A1C Williams-Jones“

Hi Hernaman,

Would it be safe to assume that no PM from yourself, means too late for this tour?

Hi

Honestly i have had so many private messages and responses, you only need to go through the thread to see how many, the spaces i had went so quickly.

I am sure some people will drop put between now and the 2nd of august, i have a reserve list and have done it in order of people coming back to me on the thread.

Someone else needs to also arrange one as the interest is obviously massive! happy to help anyone.

Might be easier to delete the thread now, to stop the feedback as THE BASE TOUR IS FULL NOW and you have a reserve list put together as well. Or change thread title to something like THIS BASE TOUR IS FULL ? Just an idea

Just a thought, but any members that already have a full PM inbox will NOT receive any PMs sent to them until they delete some of their old PMs, the inbox becomes full when it contains 50 PMs.
This season, I'll be mostly wearing........A THONG!

Hi

I used to visit Lakenheath a lot when living in Holbeach.

I had a great time visiting as got to meet so many great people.

It would be a honour and a privilege to visit this base.

Please if this is still going ahead I would like to be considered.

Thanks

Hi guys,

I am listed on the tour but have a question: will anyone be able to give me a ride to Stansted after the visit for a 19.50 flight (so to be there around 18.30 or earlier)? Of course, if anyone else is heading for Sliac, please send me a PM!!

This assumes that the bus we use on base will start the day at say, Thetford station? Hernaman86, have you a plan yet?

I and my son went on a base tour at Mildenhall and Lakenheath a couple of years ago, I just emailed the base`s explaining that niether I or my son are members of any aviation club , but is it possible to fit us in. they were good enough to to fix us up with an organised tour both times... you have to supply them with a fair bit of info about yourself, but well worth it

Can you confirm I am on the confirmed list, I requested a couple of places in September, but havent seen a reply so far? We should be hearing something very soon?
