Looking at the forecast and the prospect of local thunderstorms this morning I was wondering if Lakenheath might fly this afternoon today.

Any inside knowledge gratefully received because might be my only chance to get some AV jets.

The weather "stop" has been lifted and departures from both bases have started.

There are 48th FW flights expected this morning, but cannot say for this afternoon as it is Friday.

Another storm has developed just to the North East of the airfield, frequent lightning.

Lots of strikes north of Brandon and there's just been one at Downham Mkt. Wind's all over the place: Fakenham showing N. while Lakenheath it's from the southerly quarter.

Claw and sabre flights both used Donna book bombing range from approx around 11am for about an hour

We are back into a run of visible passes again over the UK
Last night's 57deg pass over Wirral seen above using 8 in Meade and webcam.
