Lakenheath Activity

Post by Maverick1999 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 7:57 am

How active is Lakenheath at the moment? It seems to have died down a bit on here lately, is that just because of Marham or have things gone quiet. I was thinking of going down in a few Mondays time. Will there be flying as normal?

It is currently closed until Monday 9th July 2018

One Squadron is away until October and a number on rework in the USA.

There is still flying when the base is open but not as much as there has been in the past.

Is it likely that on the 16th of July the F-35A would drop into Lakenheath after RIAT?

It is far more likely to head to Farnborough as it is displaying there. Mind you it could do that from the Heath I suppose

(piggybacking on this thread to save making another similar)

I've got a spare day, down from Scotland, this Friday and was wondering if it'd be worth making a visit.

How active is it Heath/Hall likely to be with RIAT/deployments taken into account?

Most Fridays are hit and miss at Lakenheath. Very much like the RAF some flying in the morning. Sometimes you can be surprised.

I probably should've gone up there today, but it looked quite quiet.
