Tornado's at Lakenheath

Post by SpilsbyPete » Sun Sep 10, 2017 3:52 pm

Hi,

I was talking with the Tornado pilot at The Scampton Show.
He said that the 2 aircraft at Scampton would join the other 4 at Lakenheath on Monday.
As Marham is now closed.
Are the 4 Aircraft there and what are they (Serial No's)

Thanks in advance
Pete

I've also posted this in the Mildenhall threat. I am new to the site and do not know how to create my own post.

Hi everyone. Wasn't sure where to post this. I am coming up to East Anglia for a few days and thought I would drive up to Mildenhall and Lakenheath to do some spotting. I haven't been to either of these bases before so I was wondering if any of you could give me some advice.

Where is the best place to park up? Am I likely to see any take offs/landings, I will be going up this coming Tuesday?

I saw on a thread posted a few years ago there is a car park by some traffic lights, but I have no knowledge of the area so any information from you would be really appreciated.

Many Thanks

I posted this in the Marham section regarding what jets went where.

Rumour seems to be that the 2 scampton jets move to Lakenheath but as it stands they will be the only 2 jets there.

If you look at the top individual blog page for both bases in the forum section "East Anglia" there is a viewing guide for each one.
