Probably not long after the pilots get in and the engines start.

I know this is probably a bit of a shot in the dark, but is it likely that they will fly on May Day (1st May)?

That is if they haven't gone home - and they may well have done.

"Heads up" thread suggests that they are only here for two weeks - maybe shorter.

Interesting that lakenheath have now posted that the 48th fighter wing are on nights, does this mean the F35's will be on nights also?

I would suspect that these would look very impressive at night, thundering down the runway, but do hope they are doing some day sorties as well...fingers crossed.

Any further info, if available on the chance of day sorties would be much appreciated... will help in making plans to visit, it`s a 300 round trip and well worth it to see them in the daylight.

Many thanks in advance for any further info and also for all the info already posted above, keep up the great work it`s very helpful and very much appreciated.

Best rgds

Just have to see what happens from Tuesday onwards. Then they will probably follow that pattern while there here.
The F-22's did two sorties a day,one in the morning and one around 4 pm.
I reckon they'll follow that pattern with one or two flying into eastern europe, and then back again either the same day or a night stop.

Careful, the Scramble SIS Summary is only showing that they understand the F-35's will be leaving during the month of May. It does not state a specific date.
