Are they up today? I have the chance to visit at about 6 this evening and know some have been out and about at that time last week. Thanks

They were up this morning,
If its anything like yesterday they will go up again about 3 but will probably be back between 4 and 6.( some sorties were on about 35 mins long.)

I would try and get there before 6 as you might just miss the last ones, That's if they are flying the same as yesterday>.

Any ideas on the morning launch times & how busy is the viewing area/forest gate in the morning ?

Am headed there in the morning & if I need to be there earlier than an early thing I'll make it happen

 Thanks for the info makes my decision to do most of the drive down from Newcastle this evening all the better.

Will aim to get there before 7am, not too worried if I end up parking in the viewing area & just walk back over to the forest gate. Will have to stock up on essentials tonight as I sure won't be moving anywhere once I park up.

Anything "non-American" been there today?
A poster on another (non Aviation forum) posted earlier that he saw what he thought looked a bit like a Typhoon, but he knew it wasn't land.
Any Rafales been in for example?

Actually, the c/s was "Tartan301", and the approach was at 1602 local time...

Tartan is a Voyager callsign, not a Typhoon. 301 would - from memory - suggest a first solo by a non-British pilot, so perhaps the accent caught you out?

Might very well be possible, but anyway I would love to get more UK airtime ;-)
