Scanner had dumped all, and only partially re-entered for visit yesterday - following noted :-

356.725 ATIS
123.825 Radar
136.500 Approach
244.475 Dispatch

Charlie41 was up and about, so although I had not entered it, I guess 56 RQS Jolly Ops would have been active.

Pyro 21 flight have been using VHF freq today? 142.975 as their interplane. Might have been working along with the Dutch F-16 though  viewtopic.php?f=8&p=790684#p790684

Any updates on frequencies? I am over Lakenheath for 3 days in a couple of weeks. I do have access to milscanners but wondering if there are any that are not on milscanners?

Hi, new to all this, just unpacked a new Uniden 125xlt and know little yet,

Regarding all the frequencies above for Lakenheath, do I type them into a bank individually? does anybody tag them?

I live about 20 miles west of Lakenheath and Mildenhall and am overflown daily by traffic for Lakenheath & Mildenhall and Marham, also seem to be in a corridor of lots of other aircraft and would like to listen to them, are there frequencies for them?

Also I'm off to RIAT soon, how should I prepare the scanner for that?

Sorry for really basic questions, but I have only been a air band enthusiast for an hour

.Hi, BM.
You can start by scrolling to the top of this thread. Even though you're only miles away from the above stations you are unlikely to hear the ground frequencies, ie. tower and ground, but you'll get the aircraft on deps. 309.2 is still active for Mildenhall I believe and morning-times you'll get some KCs calling 313.55 when they're around 30 minutes out. Remember to load the memory-banks in ascending order; it speeds up the scan.

Thanks for that, simple question, example; the frequency you gave ( 309.2) is it entered as written or is it 309.200, seems a lot of frequencies are 6 digit and some 4 ???

Right, you got me there. On my old Yupiter 5000 if I enter just 309.2 it comes up as 309.200; I don't have to add the 'last two'. I'm not sure how the new 33?kHz spacings work.
I'll be at home again in the morning waiting for "Dragon 31" to RTB Beale; I assume it's still in Fairford- no-one's posted otherwise; usual freek for me in the N.W. is 277.625 before disappearing north of the border.
Good luck.
R.

With the exception of 56RQS freq and 291.575 I have heard all of the rest last week and the week before while at Willows campsite.
They are using sat(com) as well, sometimes you wille hear them switching to it mentioning the freq.

This morning (25 Nov 18) the French C-160F and the Rafales were given 137.1 for Lakenheath tower.

Is that a weekend / holiday frequency and why not use the normal UHF Freq? Maybe the ground controller was in a different building or mobile?
